Entry Requirements Must be working in relevant environment. In order to complete the Apprenticeship you must have already achieved or be able to achieve functional skills qualifications (or their equivalent) in English, Maths and IT.
Learning & Assessment Methods Assessment and delivery will be undertaken in the workplace, tailored to the needs of both the employer and the learner including practical demonstrations of competence to build a portfolio of evidence. Evidence is generated through a range of tasks connected with the job role of the individual. Delivery and assessment will take place at the learner’s place of work complimented by support in our Liverpool City Centre training suite.
ITQ (User) has been designed by employers to meet the needs of today’s businesses. No two organisations are the same. The way they use IT is different; the IT skills of each employee are different. ITQ will ensure that employers get the right person for the right job by equipping individuals with relevant and effective IT user skills.
Mercia Partnership delivers the ITQ on many employers’ premises. We help people improve their skills and assess them to National Standards certified by City & Guilds.

IT Professional Competence (IT Technician)
This qualification enables individuals to maintain IT systems and networks.
The qualification develops the knowledge of the basic aspects of IT system operation. The programme covers a variety of topics including:
Health and Safety in ICT centres
Software installation and upgrade
Testing ICT systems
